The National Council is the society’s supreme organ of power. It is charged with examining, adopting and revising the society’s charter, selecting through election the president, vice-presidents, secretary-general and standing council members, and examining and approving the society’s work programs and reports on their implementation.

The Committee of Standing Council Members exercies the power of the National Council when the council is not in session, and is responsible of the National Council.

The General Office handle the day-to-day affairs of the society. Operating under the General Office are the Secretariat, the Liaison Department and the Research Department, with the secretary-general taking on the overall responsibility.

The current National Council of CSHRS consists of 160 members.
